Deepawali  is a major festival of  Hinduism.  Deepawali has a special significance in Hinduism.  The  festival  of Deepawali, which lasts for about 5 days from Dhanteras to  Bhai Dooj,   is celebrated in many countries of the world including India  and Nepal.  Deepawali  is  also known as Deep Utsav.  Because Deepawali    means   the row of  lamps.  The festival  of  Diwali  signifies the victory of  light over  darkness.   Apart from   Hinduism,  followers of Buddhism,  Jainism and Sikhism  also celebrate  Diwali.   In  Jainism  , Diwali is celebrated as the Salvation Day of  Lord  Mahavira.  At the same time, in the Sikh community, it is  celebrated  as Bandi Chhor Diwas.

1.  Goddess Lakshmi  should be worshiped in Pradosh Kaal (  three   muhurats after sunset).  It  is considered best to worship  in the stable ascendant during  Pradosh Kaal.  During  this time,  when Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and  Aquarius rise in the ascendant, then Goddess Lakshmi should be worshiped.  Because these four zodiac signs  are of stable nature.  It is believed  that if  worshiped at the time  of stable lagna, then Mother Lakshmi stays  in the  house in part  form.

   2.  Worship is  also  important during the Mahanishith period,  but this time is more suitable for  tantrics, pandits and seekers.  In  this period, there is a law to worship Mother Kali.     Apart from this,   those people can also worship at this time, who  have an understanding  about the Mahanishith period.

Lakshmi Puja  Rituals on Diwali

There  is a special law of  Lakshmi Puja on Deepawali.  On this day  ,  Goddess Lakshmi,   Lord   Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati are worshiped and  worshiped in  the auspicious time in the evening and night.  On the  dark night of Kartik Amavasya,  I myself come  to  the land in  the form  of Paramshakti Mahalakshmi and roam in every house.  During this  time,  the     house which is clean and light in  every way,  they stay  in part, so on  Deepawali, clean and  worship  with law.   By doing this, Mata Mahalakshmi has  special grace.  Along with Lakshmi   Puja, Kuber Puja is also performed.  These things should be taken care of  during worship.

1. On the  day of Deepawali   , before Lakshmi Pujan, clean the  house and spray Ganga water for  purification and purity of the environment in the entire house.   Also, make a  series of rangolis and diyas at the  door of the house.

2.  Place a chowki at the place of worship and lay a  red cloth and place  an idol of Lakshmi ji and Ganesh ji on it or put a  picture of  Lakshmi ji on the wall.   Place an urn filled with water near the outpost.

3.  Apply tilak on the idol of Mata Lakshmi and  Ganesha and  light a lamp and offer water, mauli, rice, fruits, jaggery, turmeric, abir-gulal etc.   Praise  Mahalakshmi.

4. Along with this,  worship Goddess Saraswati, Mother Kali, and Kuber Dev with law.

5. Mahalakshmi Pujan  should be   done by the whole family together.

6.  After Mahalakshmi Pujan,  worship  the vault, ledger and business equipment.

7.  After worship, give  sweets and dakshina  to the  needy people according to reverence and strength.

1. On the  day of Kartik Amavasya i.e.  Deepawali, one  should take a bath after massaging oil  on the  body in the morning.  It is believed   that doing so  does  not cause loss of money.

 2. Worship ancestors  on Deepawali and offer incense and bhog.  At  the time of  Pradosh Kaal, hold a meteor in  your hand and  show the  way to the ancestors.  Here meteor  means  to show the  way to the ancestors in the  light of fire by lighting a lamp or by other means.  By doing this  , the soul of   the ancestors  attains  peace and salvation.

Astrology Significance of Deepawali
